The online school for freestyle poi
Poi Skool teaches you to build a vocabulary of moves and improvise with it, so what you spin is genuinely yours. Structured tracks, weekly feedback, and a community that actually shows up.
No card gimmicks. Cancel inside Skool any time during the trial.
Sound familiar
Most people who pick up poi quit for the same reason: no path. You copy a video, hit a move you can't get, and put the poi down for another six months. Freestyle never happens if all you've got is other people's routines to imitate.
"I've picked up poi loads of times over the years, but I've never stuck with it for more than a few days. I'd find something difficult, get frustrated, and inevitably move on to another prop."— Nic B, Poi Skool ambassador
"Trying to learn poi using YouTube has been chaotic and not as structurally sound as Poi Skool."— Elliot L, Poi Skool member
The mechanism
Every member is placed on a Basic, Intermediate or Advanced track, then works through the same three phases. No jumping straight to hard moves before you can control the easy ones, and no drilling moves forever with nowhere to put them.
DAYS 1–30
The moves themselves, broken into bite-sized steps you can actually repeat until they stick.
DAYS 31–60
Linking moves together so they stop feeling like a list and start feeling like one thing.
DAYS 61–90
Putting it all together without a script, so what comes out is yours.
The measurable outcome: freestyle spinning for three minutes with real capability, built one phase at a time through actual improvisation.
What members are saying
I look back to when I first joined the Skool, (4 days after your launch lol) I use that day as the beginning of having something for me to keep going every day. I can truly say if you hadn't of found me I wouldn't have much in my life to give me the boost I need to get through tuff times.
You've given me the confidence to believe in myself that there is something I can be apart of and progress on that each day. You and everyone at poi Skool are becoming a big part of my life. I'm still in the back ground of everything, but I know as soon as I start posting with bundles of questions everyone will be there with support and advice. "Thank you so much" 😊
I've always admired poi spinners at raves and my first time was with a staff some 20 years ago. I purchased my first set of poi about 2 years ago. Trying to learn poi using YouTube has been chaotic and not as structurally sound as Poi Skool. Poi Skool gives structure, breaks down every move into bite sized chunks and simple to understand.
I'm so glad I joined Poi Skool as it has been amazing and exceeded expectations. The structure of the course progresses through stages in a manageable way with video tutorials. You can ask questions in the app and either Stuart or a member of the community will help quickly. The weekly challenges are fun. The community is very positive, affirming and supportive. I have gained confidence both in my poi spinning, and also more generally. It's a great feeling to finally be making progress in poi.
I've really enjoyed the sessions, really quick and easy tutorial videos to follow. It's really nice following a plan and learning the moves and learning their names. I've definitely seen an improvement, Stuart is only a message away! It's a lovely community to join with lots of support! Thanks Stuart and ambassadors :)
Joining Poi Skool has honestly been the best decision I've made for my flow journey. Stuart provides an incredible library of videos with clear, detailed explanations that break down tricks step-by-step, even the most complex and difficult ones. He makes tricky concepts feel completely achievable. If you're thinking about learning poi or taking your skills to the next level, I can't recommend Poi Skool enough. Give it a chance; you definitely won't regret it!
I'm pretty new to poi and Poi Skool, but I'm loving my journey so far. Stuart has been so helpful and encouraging and the other members are very supportive. Plus I'm learning a very cool new skill to keep my brain healthy and challenged.
I am absolutely loving my journey with poi. Not only am I gently learning at my own pace with no pressure from Stuart but my confidence is starting to rise! Practising can be hard for me due to work commitments but I think I am doing alright! Stuart gives great instructions and direction to support your journey and not once have I felt overwhelmed. I am finally mastering something I enjoy and that's a big Thank you to Stuart! Making many friends along the way too, Poi Skool has a great community
Stuart is amazing. He teaches everyone and will take his time to make sure everyone is seen and heard. If you struggle he will see where you are going wrong and tell you exactly where which helps you alot. In less than half hour I knew a trick with the poi. I was so so happy. I'm still learning and can't wait to continue on my journey with the pois. I would definitely recommend anyone to join. 90 days you will definitely 100 percent get all the moves! Thank you Stuart for being amazing
I've picked up poi loads of times over the years, but I've never stuck with it for more than a few days. I'd find something difficult, get frustrated, and inevitably move on to another prop!
Since joining Poi Skool, that's completely changed. I've actually stuck with poi and I'm really enjoying working my way through the different courses. There really is something for every level, whether you're a complete beginner or have been doing poi for years. Stuart, who runs Poi Skool, is incredibly supportive and encouraging, and the community is honestly one of my favourite things about it.
Poi Skool is an absolute game-changer! It lets me grow and move forward every single day in my poi spinning. The learning app is extremely clear, and every single step is carefully explained and demonstrated by the instructor. What makes it truly special is the incredible support from fellow students, we all share one deep passion that unites us as one. If you want to level up your skills while joining a wonderful community, I highly recommend Poi Skool from the bottom of my heart!
I am so happy i joined poi skool, and i am learning so many new moves already. Poi Skool has a great community thanks to Stuart who is a fabulous and patient teacher, knowing you can ask for help/advice when you get stuck etc makes learning smoother and easier for sure! Not only does Poi Skool make learning poi more fun but with such a lovely community you will find you connect with new friends too.
Joining Poi Skool has to be the best thing I've done for quite some time, my confidence and desire to learn more is back and poi is back to being a big part of my life and health goals thanks to this place. I've found my experience refreshing and Stuart with his patience has been amazing with his teaching skills. I'm loving Poi Skool, and the community within. I'm also delighted that I'm an ambassador for poi Skool, that also shows my confidence thanks to being here. Thank you Stuart

About your teacher
Stuart is a former professional freestyle and fire poi performer. He's not performing any more; he's back to teaching through Poi Skool.
The focus is freestyle spinning, not choreographed routines you copy move for move. Live fire instruction isn't part of the offering, for straightforward liability and insurance reasons, so every lesson is built around LED and practice poi you can safely learn with at home.
Questions
Neither were most of the members quoted on this page when they started. The programme breaks every move into small enough steps that coordination catches up as you go.
The 90-day structure is built around short, repeatable drills rather than long sessions. Several members are fitting this around full-time work.
That's most people's starting point, not the exception. The usual reason is no structure, not lack of ability. That's the whole reason the tracks exist.
No. Everything is taught with LED and practice poi. Live fire instruction isn't offered, for liability and insurance reasons.
